About SOMAS

SOMAS operates with leading brands and technologies in three business areas: Beverages, Foods Production, Laundry & Home Care.

In 1949 SOMAS produced its first product as detergent powder additive, which when boiling the laundry releases fine pearling oxygen. This not only has the effect of (in contrast to the chlorine) an especially textile-friendly and odorless bleach. It also takes away the strenuous and time-consuming rubbing, swinging and scrubbing of the laundry for the housewives. Then SOMAS made its way into the retail trade packaged in plastic white bags with printed logo, made and filled by hand.

The first synthetic heavy-duty compact detergent, with enhanced formulation and free phosphate, introduced in 1985, it's called SOMAS Super. Synthetic anionic surfactants, a detergent enhancer and a fresh scent are the new ingredients. At least that's the advertising promise that is being conveyed to the consumer in a broadly TV campaign. Besides the formula, the SOMAS Super packaging was also visibly changed into thin carton logo printed box.

2001 - Another milestone in the SOMAS story: The development of a detergent that has an even better washing performance and at the same time requires clearly less product. We worked on a procedure to concentrate active ingredients correspondingly high. A completely new production technology brings the breakthrough – and a new detergent generation: SOMAS Dream, SOMAS Twenty One and SOMAS Economy Bags. Where offered in 2.5 kg packages multi layered vivid colors plastic bags for the first time usage, provide SOMAS with a clear advantage in innovation.

2005 - Beside the detergents production, SOMAS expanded in the fields of beverage and food products market: Riches Tea, Riches Café (instant coffee), SENOR edible oil, SENOR Tomato paste, Riches beans…

2013 - With the detergents production and food products, SOMAS build its full automatic filling and packing lines with the highest technology, to introduce its all-purpose flour, which is fully produced and packed without human interference and high hygienic situation. All-purpose Flour is packed in double layered paper bags with printed logos.
